The Companies Office of Jamaica wishes to advise all business owners that the Registration of Business Names Act has been amended. The Companies Office will implement these Amendments effective September 3rd 2007.
It is anticipated that the amendments will provide more protection for consumers and also for the proprietors of registered businesses.

The Companies Office of Jamaica hereby advises that there will be a suspension of its registration and copy services for five (5) working days commencing March 19 2007 to facilitate a change over to our new automated system, the Document Processing Management Information System (DPMIS).
