Programmer/Analyst


Reporting to the Information Technology Executive, the Programmer/Analyst will provide technical support in information technology projects, systems analysis, applications programming and designing and documenting procedures.

Ideally, applicants must have

• Undergraduate Degree in Computing, Information Technology or Software Engineering

• Three (3) years related working experience as a Programmer/Analyst

• Knowledge of Object Oriented Programming (OOP)

• Experience developing C# applications for Microsoft .NET framework

• Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD) in a modern development environment.

• Experience in a modern development environment utilizing one of: a bug tracker or issue management system, a versioning system, daily building or continuous integration system.


Knowledge of Object Oriented Design (OOD) and expertise in at least one area of software engineering technology would be desirable.

 Maintains project schedules and provides solutions to ensure project activity is in accordance with project plan and standards.

 Coordinates, participates in the development and delivery of written specifications to capture business process requirements.

 Consults with the Team Leaders and liaises with vendors in the acquisition of new computer software and hardware.

 Performs comparative analysis between competing software packages and recommends software and hardware acquisition.

 Provides analysis for enhancements to new and existing systems; define programming requirements and develop and revise standards for programming, documentation and quality control.

 Develops and maintains the design of computer systems including screen design, reports and programs; participate in database design; write and test new computer applications.

 Develops and maintains the organization’s data dictionary; develop database backup and recovery; manage the database structure; perform configuration control.

 Conducts training for users and programming teams.
