Risk & Asset Officer Reporting to the Director, Finance, Risk & Asset Management, the Risk & Asset Officer oversees the operations of the records unit and properly account for asset acquisition, removal and disposal; Assists in assessing risks to the Agency’s property and implements solutions to eliminate or reduce losses. Ideally, applicants must have • B.Sc. in Management/Accounting or equivalent qualification/training. • Certification in Records Management • Exposure to asset/risk management • Two (2) years’ related experience of which at least one (1) year should be at a supervisory level. • Excellent time management, communication and human relations skills. • Ensures that procedures for the removal and disposal of assets are in keeping with – Agency Policy. • Identifies and document losses and seek recovery through the appropriate channels. • Alerts the department executive of under coverage for assets where such is determined, on a timely basis. • Ensures adherence to risk management policies • Develops, implements and updates policy, procedures and guidelines for the management of records. • Monitors effectiveness of records management system and recommend changes to improve efficiency. • Ensures proper storage for removed files during their retention period Applications must be addressed to HRM & Administration Companies Office of Jamaica 1 Grenada Way Kingston 5 And email sent to hr@orcjamaica.com to reach no later than 5: 00 pm on Wednesday December 7, 2011 We thank all applicants, but only email responses will be entertained and only short-listed candidates will be contacted.
